About the Project Iluka’s Eneabba Rare Earth Refinery (ERER) Project is located at Eneabba in Western Australia.

We are delivering Australia’s first fully integrated rare earths refinery, achieving an independent supply of rare earth oxides essential to global electrification and decarbonisation. Our state-of-the-art refinery will feature a total rare earth oxide capacity of 23,000 tonnes p.a, flexibility to process a range of feedstocks and recycling of water and reagents. About

The Role We are looking for a Principal Health & Safety Specialist to join our projects team. This is a permanent position based at our Eneabba Project Site on a 5:2 / 4:3 DIDO roster.

The Principal Health & Safety Specialist serves as a liaison between Iluka and the Principal Contractor and fosters a collaborative and consultative approach to enhance Iluka’s safety culture on-site. This position contributes to strategic planning, risk management, regulatory compliance, and promoting a strong safety ethos. The Principal Health & Safety Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring worker’s health, safety, and well-being.

Key elements of the role include: Contribute towards strategic leadership in health and safety matters Work closely with all stakeholders to align safety objectives with operational goals Develop and implements safety policies, procedures, and guidelines Lead health and safety programs, including the implementation of Group safety initiatives Provide leadership and support to management in understanding their obligations and accountabilities under the Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations Liaise with relevant parties to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory Health and Safety compliance Facilitate high-level incident investigations using the ICAM technique Ensure emergency response management arrangements are in place, tested and are effective Co-ordinate injury management processes, including the implementation of return to work programs Analyse safety data, including the Health and Safety lead and lag indicators to identify trends and areas for improvement Drive a culture of continuous learning and improvement

About You To be successful for this role, you will have: Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Knowledge of investigation techniques such as ICAM Demonstrated experience working on major construction projects in the mining industry Lead Auditor Qualification – Health and Safety Management Systems Knowledge of WA health and safety legislation and processes Ability to lead safety initiatives and influence others Ability to assess risks and develop effective safety strategies Current C Class driver's license
