About the roleThis position is responsible for leading and managing the development and delivery of Collins Class Submarine Combat Systems and equipment platform training in accordance with the submarine training services contract.
This position will ensure that staff are developed to provide cross training of all courses and take a lead role in the training team to provide leadership and mentoring to all instructors.
This position will also supervise pre and post course documentation completion as detailed in Quality Management Systems. Conduct Training as identified in training schedules and work plans. Review and authorise training documentation changes and records and other duties as directed by submarine training services contract.
To be successful in this role you will be an Australian citizen and be eligible for a Defence Security Authority clearance. The successful applicant will also demonstrate significant knowledge of the Collins Class Submarine Combat system, platform systems maintenance principles and practice. Applicants should also hold or demonstrate signification progression towards a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and experience in supervision and leadership of small teams.
Applicants are also required to demonstrate physical ability to enter, transit through and egress a Collins Class Submarine; climb ladders to a height of 10 metres; the ability to stand in a motion simulator; and the ability to work in a red lighting environment.
