Job description

Due to an internal secondment a temporary contract opportunity exists for an experienced IT Support Analyst to join our evolving Information Technology Service Unit.

As the IT Support Analyst, you will manage Microsoft 365 platforms and ERP user access, provide AV support, assist with Point of Sale systems, offer basic network support, and provide after-hours support for Council meetings.

You will also collaborate with internal service teams as an escalation point to resolve incidents promptly, identify trends in incidents and requests, and participate in small initiatives or projects to enhance service delivery.

Additionally, you will coordinate the management of IT end-user computer assets, including procurement, deployment, and disposal of computing equipment and mobile devices.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide technical support across City of Newcastle's (CN) ICT and network infrastructure as a key facet of your role where you will liaise with both staff and fellow team members on technical issues. You will also be required to provide first line support for CN's ICT systems, AV support, servers, networking, and workstation endpoints.
