Mackay District Special School in partnership with parents, carers and the community aims to provide students with the skills to interact with others as independently as possible. The school focuses on maximising students' opportunities to achieve sound educational outcomes.
Being Mackay and surrounding districts only Special School, a positive outlook was sought to confidently and proudly bring this stronger school body to the community. Along with this advancement came a new generation of families and staff whose motivation was to promote awareness within the community, which successfully resulted in a recognised acceptance of the students.
About the Role:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
* Lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.

* Set high standards for student and staff performance.
