Weir Minerals are seeking a dynamic, results-driven sales professional with a visionary mindset and unwavering resilience for an influential leadership role, based in Perth. This person will drive exponential growth and surpass targets for our comminution product range across Australia and the Asia Pacific region.

The Sales Manager role encompasses leadership for the product sales team throughout the comminution department, including the full range of grinding, crushing and screening prproducts, integrated solutions, and technical support functions.

This role will support in the areas of sales and strategy to drive sales growth for the comminution range of products in Australia and Asia Pacific and plays a key role within the comminution management team.

This is a rare opportunity to succeed within a high-performing sales team and, due to the nature of the role, regular domestic and international travel will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

  • Create mutually beneficial relationships with customers to position Weir as the supplier of choice.

  • Achieve competitive advantage in terms of better price, product availability, improved on-time delivery (OTD) and reduced overall lead times.

  • Drive improvement throughout the business to provide value to the customer through the elimination of waste.

  • Deliver engineered solutions with maximum productivity for customer operations at the lowest operational cost.

  • Foster collaboration across the organization to ensure customer satisfaction, project execution, and employee engagement.

  • Support business strategies and execute sales strategies and budgets, including sales input, gross margins, and selling expenses.

  • Develop and implement strategies to win solutions sales across our broad range of products.

  • Interpret short and long-term effect of sales strategies and track competitor's activities to assist with developing strategies to combat.

  • Plan, lead, organize and coach direct reports to deliver performance against key financial, quality, safety and customer service measures through setting clear expectations, driving accountability and developing individual and team performance.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five (5) years prior sales experience with proven results, commercial and customer focus and exposure to leading sales teams.

  • Tertiary qualifications in mechanical, chemical or process engineering.

  • Previous technical sales experience across a wide a range of mining products, with proven ability to demonstrate identification of opportunities, formulation of strategies and achievement of results.
