About the role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced person to fill the position of Principal Liquor Control & Arbitration Officer. This position is permanent, full time (75 hrs p/f). This is your opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of the WA community through the effective regulation of the liquor industry, minimising alcohol related harm or ill-health.

As Principal Liquor Control and Arbitration Officer, you will be involved in administering liquor licensing applications by exercising statutory powers in compliance with relevant legislation and the DLGSC delegation framework. This includes detailed written decisions and conducting research to support determinations whilst also providing support to the General Manager Liquor Control and Arbitration and higher management on licensing matters.

Additionally you will also make recommendations around policy based on research and advise, ensuring legislative compliance and an awareness of trends. The role encompasses continual improvement, fostering a service-oriented culture, ensuring high quality, customer focused service delivery around complex liquor licensing matters.

This role is based at 140 William Street Perth.
