Job description

Are you a seasoned technologist passionate about guiding financial institutions through complex legacy modernisations?We are looking for a Modernisation Strategist to join our team who would play the role of a trusted partner to Thoughtworks clients, helping shape the future of legacy modernisation through a technology-centric approach in the BFSI industry. You will be responsible for developing and leading the implementation of large-scale transformation and modernisation strategies, leveraging your deep understanding of both technology and core banking best practices. You will be a key member of the Enterprise Modernisation, Platform and Cloud service line.Job responsibilities

  • You will partner closely with business development in the BFSI vertical in identifying modernisation opportunities aligned with industry best practices and emerging technologies
  • You will be involved with pre-sales, lead generation, creating proposals, shaping engagements for clients and helping to educate both clients and colleagues about the value of our services
  • You will take a consultative approach to working with our clients' C-level executives and other stakeholders in order to achieve their business goals and redefine their industries
  • You will be a key member of the Enterprise Modernisation, Platform and Cloud service line, creating points of view and other content through your insights on client needs and solutions, and also through defining repeatable practices which will help us to scale our efforts
  • You will drive creation of industry leading IP and best practices for modernising legacy core banking systems nurturing and upskilling future thought leaders at Thoughtworks
  • You will partner closely with technical leaders to support the delivery team, ensuring they have what they need to be successful
  • Stay current with Thoughtworks' business strategy and IT goals
Job qualificationsTechnical Skills
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience developing and implementing large-scale digital transformation strategies within financial institutions
  • Experience in new age lean digital cloud native core banking solutions such as ThoughtMachine for mid and large size banks or for neo / digital banks / fintech
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of core banking systems, functionality, and integration challenges
Professional Skills
  • Experience engaging with C-level stakeholders at the business and technology level, using a consultative selling approach to maximise the customer outcomes
  • Technology and consulting acumen with the ability to positively translate into business value
