The Strategy and Governance team is responsible for ensuring that the Department's corporate governance framework complies with external and internal accountability requirements, guides performance improvement and supports management to deliver strong outcomes for the community.
As the Principal Power Platform Specialist, you will be responsible for the development, provisioning, and support of key line of business systems for Strategy and Governance at the Department of Justice and Attorney-General.
The role will:
* Deliver exceptional customer service, focusing on a 'customer first' delivery model.
* Providing an ongoing capability to advise, develop, support and document solutions with Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate and SharePoint.
Your key responsibilities
* Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders so as to improve approval and review workflows, as well as data collection, analysis and quality assurance.
* Provide expert business analysis, development, and support for the line of business applications, data and dashboards.
* Analyse, interpret and solve difficult problems, engaging stakeholder input to produce innovative, robust, and supportable solutions.
* Identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that maximise the capability of the team to deliver expert advice and improve outcomes.
* Continuously learn to extend knowledge of the platforms and technologies that underpin the services being delivered.
Technical skills, abilities and cultural capability
* Demonstrated experience with the Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate and SharePoint, for modelling business processes and data analysis.
* Experience in engaging with senior stakeholders from non-ICT backgrounds.
* Experience with Power Platform connectors (such as Service Now or eDocs), the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and formal ICT governance, would be highly regarded.
* The relevant SFIA skills for this role are:
o Specialist advice (TECH) level 4
o Consultancy (CNSL) level 4
o Application support (ASUP) level 4
o Change control (CHMG) level 4
o Configuration management (CFMG) level 4.
