The ideal candidate should possess proven experience in Power System studies and analysis in relevant sectors such as generation, distribution & transmission.This global firm has a strong project pipeline, working primarily with AEMO, NSPs, and developers on a diverse range of renewable projects such as BESS, wind, hybrid, and pump hydro. Offers opportunity to work on global projects with the biggest players in the industry.Key Responsibilities for the Principal Power System Engineer:
- Develop and significantly grow the business presence and market share in the power industry.
- Lead technical studies related to grid connection of renewables.
- Develop capability in a technical area such as power quality, earthing, protection etc.
- Manage end-to-end Power System design.
- Collaborate with and support highly experienced internal engineers, bid managers, and project managers to prepare successful proposals for winning new projects.
- Manage power projects delivered Australia-wide.
- Stay updated on industry trends.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, HV Power System Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in a similar role within the power, energy or other relevant industry
- Extensive knowledge of energy systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution.
- Experience with Power Systems modeling and analysis tools such as PSS/E & PSCAD.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
