As the Principal Power Systems Engineer, you will be at the forefront of Power Systems design, analysis, and optimization. Leading a team of skilled engineers, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the performance and reliability of the transmission network. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee Power Systems Engineering activities, including planning, design, and optimization of the transmission network.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of Power Systems Engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize network improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct advanced power system studies, analyse data, and develop strategies to enhance grid performance, stability, and resiliency.
• Drive innovation by identifying emerging technologies and trends, implementing new tools and methodologies to improve network operations.
• Liaise with external stakeholders, industry partners, and regulatory bodies to influence policy development and promote best practices in Power Systems Engineering.
• Develop and maintain technical standards and guidelines for power system design and operation.
• Support business planning activities by providing technical expertise and recommendations for network expansion and infrastructure development.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Extensive experience in Power Systems Engineering, transmission network planning, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of power system analysis tools, such as PSS/E, PSCAD, or similar software.
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team of engineers.
• In-depth understanding of power system planning and operation, including network modeling, load flow analysis, fault analysis, and contingency analysis.
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks and industry standards in the power sector.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.
