The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Principal Research Fellow (Queensland Pelvic Mesh Service and Endometriosis) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will

• Apply significant levels of independent judgement in accordance with the complex nature of work
• Supervise and support clinical staff, research assistants and administrative officers
• Contribute to establishing a state-wide research organisational structure and support development
• Lead and promote compliance with relevant legislation and Hospital and Health Service policies and procedures

About you
To be successful in this position you will require:

• A bachelor degree or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position
• AHPRA Registration
• A Master or higher qualification within a relevant area is highly desirable
• While not mandatory, significant publishing history, and a history of success in obtaining competitive research grant would be well regarded
• Evidence of vaccination and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

• Base salary ranging from $132 072 - $141 738 per annum

About Us
The Principle Research Fellow, Women's Service, will work in the Gynaecology team which is a multidisciplinary team model with Specialist Gynaecologists, Clinical Nurse Consultants, pain specialists and allied health.
Women, Newborn and Children Services provide a wide range of services across the Hospital and Health Service. The Principal Research Fellow, Women's Service, will work within the Gynaecology multidisciplinary team, supporting women with chronic conditions including Pelvic Mesh and Endometriosis.
