Permanent full-time opportunity located in the Brisbane CBD | This role will coordinate third-party funding arrangements, with a focus on data submission and analysis, under the broad umbrella of revenue policy and legislation.
The role
Play a key role in the negotiation and management of third-party funding arrangements with compensable funding agencies including Department of Veterans Affairs, WorkCover Qld, Motor Accident Insurance Commission and other jurisdictions to secure commercially viable cost recovery of eligible services. Reporting to the Manager, Compensable Revenue, you will:
- Manage the Hospital Services Arrangement (HSA) between Queensland and the Department of Veteran's Affairs governing the provision of public hospital services to eligible veterans
- Undertake patient level data analysis, preparation and submission of HSA funding claims
- Assist with the development and ongoing management of interjurisdictional funding agreements and data sharing with other states and territories
- Manage data responsibilities for third-party funding arrangements
- Assist in the development of compensable revenue and funding estimates as key inputs into Queensland Health budget and Hospital and Health Service service agreements.
- Collaborate with other Queensland Health Divisions to develop, implement and review revenue optimisation strategies, policies and procedures, and develop tools to support, promote and communicate these across Hospital and Health Services
- Travel may be a requirement as part of this role
The successful person
You will have:
- Demonstrated and well-developed skills in data analysis, financial modelling and forecasting dealing with large data sets, creating BI dashboards and workflow automation.
- Demonstrated high level analytical, problem solving and evaluation skills with the capacity to examine complex problems and develop innovative strategies for their resolution.
- Knowledge and experience, or the ability to quickly acquire such knowledge, in interpreting funding arrangements and legislation.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with a network of internal and external stakeholders and present at high level forums.
- Demonstrated high level ability to project manage system improvement initiatives through stages of planning, analysis, development, evaluation and implementation.
- Whilst not mandatory, possession of a current drivers license would be well regarded
