The Department of Customer Service CISO team is looking to fill the position of Principal Security Architect!

About you
- Technically minded with an ability to design and implement security patterns, models and controls with capabilities, products and processes to make lasting change and impact.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with solution security assessment,
- Experience with application of security-related standards and frameworks such as NIST Cyber Security Framework, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, OWASP, etc.
- Relevant information security and/or risk certification (e.g., CISSP, CISA, SABSA, cloud security, ISO 27001)
- At least 5 years' experience in cyber security, technology, or a related field.
- A collaborative team player who can work with technical and non-technical teams to ensure appropriate understanding of cyber security operations and capabilities.
Your responsibilities will include
- Collaborate with team members, business units and other stakeholders to develop, implement and maintain information security controls and standards in alignment with NSW and Federal Government frameworks and policies to ensure the security of information technology systems are secured and in alignment with NSW and Federal Government frameworks and policies.
- Provide expert input to the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the development of the information Security Architecture and roadmap as well as maximise value for money investment.
- Manage stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to ensure stakeholders are engaged throughout projects and project deliverables are met successfully.
- Provide expert advice and information to stakeholders on emerging information security issues and present recommendations aligned with established frameworks, budgets, timeframes, policy objectives and other project priorities.
- Define information security solutions and tools to support the business in meeting their business objectives securely, by leveraging technology and best practices to enhance the organisation's security capabilities.
- Contribute to the development, maintenance, and communication of the organisation's Information Security Strategy to raise awareness and ensure compliance with security policies and practices.
