This is a full-time, continuing position with salary in the range $96,649 - $105,244, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%.Join a fast paced, dynamic environment within a highly skilled team leading the implementation of the Sexual Misconduct Prevention and response action plan.Bring your health promotion experience along with excellent communication, adaptability and time management abilities to influence priorities and initiatives supporting the high level strategic direction of our University in this space.Based atAbout This OpportunityThe Principal Sexual Misconduct Prevention Coordinator, locally titled Principal Coordinator (UQ Respect), oversees the prevention and response to Sexual Misconduct and gender/sexuality-related bias incidents within the UQ community. They stay updated on relevant legislation changes and provide operational and strategic guidance. The role coordinates the implementation and review of the Sexual Misconduct Prevention and Response Action Plan.Key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Provide supervision and strategic guidance to the UQ Respect team, ensuring implementation of best practice initiatives.Conduct research, data analysis, and evaluation to inform budgeting, planning, and strategic directions.Consult and network with internal and external stakeholders to support the Action Plan delivery and promote UQ activities.Collect, manage, and report Sexual Misconduct data, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.Coordinate and deliver training for staff and students on Sexual Prevention and Response, while evaluating effectiveness and integrating recent research.Provide administrative support for committees and working groups, review literature, assist in policy reviews, and prepare comprehensive reports and proposals.Other duties as required.About YouEssentialBachelor's degree in relevant field (public health, health promotion, or psychology) with 4+ years' experience in violence prevention and culture change.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage with diverse stakeholders along with proven organizational and time management abilities.Track record of developing and delivering projects to enhance student experience in higher education.Proficiency in research, data analysis, and evaluation, providing high-level guidance on budgets and strategic direction.Dedication to upholding University values, demonstrating openness, respectfulness, and integrity.DesirableUnderstanding of current issues in the Australian higher education sector.Advanced knowledge of young adult development and relevant mental health, sexual health, and education laws and experience in sexual assault prevention, intimate partner violence, stalking, and sexual health.Track record in delivering training/workshops to diverse groups, including university students and staff.You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.About UQAs part of the UQ community, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside the brightest minds, who have joined us from all over the world.Everyone here has a role to play.
