As a key member of our API & Streaming practice, you will leverage your expertise to design complex back-end applications, while also providing technical leadership to drive improvements, foster innovation, and ensure the successful delivery of our projects.What you'll do

• Challenge and support the development team in delivering high-quality solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Delivery Managers, Project Managers, and Architects
• Coordinate deployment and release activities for the team
• Deliver quality software solutions and contribute fresh ideas to continuously improve our ways of working
• Design and develop complex back-end API and Streaming applications, utilizing your superior skills and industry best practices
• Drive ongoing enhancements to existing processes, frameworks, and standards by leveraging industry best practices
• Ensure solutions meet requirements and deliverables
• Foster an innovative and results-driven culture within the team
• Guide and mentor Software Engineers, sharing your knowledge to enhance team effectiveness and efficiency
• Identify and monitor market trends, bringing continuous improvement ideas and industry best practices to the domain
• Lead problem determination and root cause analysis
• Oversee technical implementations of API & Streaming application development on both strategic projects and daily operations

What you'll bring

• Tertiary qualifications in Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline (desired), or equivalent experience
• AWS Certification (desired)
• At least 8+ years of experience in back-end software development
• Highly skilled in Java programming, Java Springboot framework, and AWS Cloud Services
• Experience with streaming application such as Confluent Kafka
• Experience with version control software such as GIT, bitbucket and sourceTree
• Experience in various monitoring tools such as splunk, Dynatrace, cloudwatch
• Familiarity with automated testing, test frameworks (e.g., JUNIT, Cucumber), and system configuration
• Proficiency in AWS Cloud Services, containerization, and build tools such as Jenkins, Gradle, and Maven
