Your new role
In the role of Principal Solicitor, you will lead the Legal Services Unit within a key division focused on infrastructure and business services. This is a 6-month FTC.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing comprehensive legal advice across the organisation.
- Leading and developing a team of legal professionals.
- Offering guidance on a wide range of legal matters including contracts, intellectual property, and compliance.
- Representing the organisation in various legal settings and overseeing litigation efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a safe, compliant, and healthy workplace environment.
- Lead recruitment and professional development initiatives within your team.
- Deliver expert legal counsel and handle complex legal challenges.
- Participate in strategic planning and contribute to organisational goals.
- Develop and implement legal policies and strategies.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Law with eligibility to practice in Victoria.
- Demonstrated experience in legal advisory roles within dynamic policy environments.
- Expertise in administrative law, contract law, and litigation.
