About the Role

The role of Principal Talent Data & Insights is to optimise talent management processes and support data-driven decision-making by ensuring Talent Data is accurate and accessible, providing insights and data to inform talent strategies, developing talent governance frameworks, and tracking talent metrics.

  • Governing. Develop and implement Talent Data governance frameworks and policies to guide talent management and Executive Talent Acquisition practices across BHP.
  • Analysing. Design and maintain talent analytics systems and tools to capture, analyse, and interpret talent-related data, providing actionable insights to inform talent strategies and decisions.
  • Enabling. Support VP T&P, Head of Talent and Talent Partners with relevant data (i.e Dashboard) and insights. Maintain data governance and structure of teams' digital collaboration spaces
  • Reporting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and track key talent metrics and budgets and performance indicators, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Auditing. Conduct regular audits and assessments of talent management processes and systems to identify areas of improvement and ensure compliance with BHP ‘s Talent strategy and legal requirements.
  • Refreshing. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in talent governance and analytics, incorporating innovative approaches into our talent management strategies
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, BA, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in SAP/Success Factors and data analysis and reporting tools, such as Excel, PowerBI
  • Certification in talent management or talent analytics is a plus.
  • Knowledge in using Power Apps
  • Experience in talent management, talent analytics, or related fields.
  • Leading improvement projects with diverse stakeholders and perspectives
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing governance frameworks and policies. Leading change management activities associated with policy, framework and tool design and implementation
  • Experience in designing and implementing talent analytics systems and tools.
  • Demonstrated success in using data-driven insights to inform strategies and decisions.
  • Understanding and experience of SAP and Success Factors tools
