The Department for Health and Wellbeing supports the Minister for Health and Wellbeing in setting policy frameworks and strategic directions for SA Health. It assists in delivering public health services, formulates health policies, facilitates public and consumer consultations on health issues, and monitors South Australia's health system performance through timely advice, research, and administrative support.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal Workforce Dataand Insights Analyst for this newly created role to join the team at the Department of Health and Wellbeing. Reporting to the Manager, Workforce Systems this role is responsible for leading and developing the data maturity of Workforce Data, collaborating with various stakeholders, and providing expert guidance on workforce trends and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic advice and services to senior leadership on critical Workforce Data issues.
- Lead the design and implementation of workforce analytics systems and frameworks.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government organisations.
- Lead and manage complex data analysis and research activities.
- Prepare high-level executive correspondence and strategic information for key stakeholders.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of Senior Workforce Data Analysts.
The Department are looking for someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills, extensive experience in Workforce Data analysis and reporting, preferably with a data science background. Relevant degree qualification or equivalent experience and knowledge of Workforce Data metrics, modelling, and analytics. Some experience with Oracle and CHRIS21 data applications is desirable and an ability to work in a complex and challenging environment.
