Principal Transport Planner

Overview:   We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Transport Planner to manage and deliver traffic engineering, transport impact assessments, transport planning, construction traffic management plans and modelling projects of varying sizes and complexities.  Key Accountabilities:

• Take a leadership role in establishing and growing the team’s traffic modelling capability.
• Collaborate and provide technical inputs on international smart mobility projects to support our global teams.
• Work across markets to provide technical inputs and advice relating to traffic impacts and transport modelling.
• Provide technical leadership to junior and mid-level traffic engineers and Transport Planners during the delivery of traffic engineering and transport modelling projects.
• Client engagement, both existing and new, and engaging with business associates and partners.
• Building and maintaining a strong client network, particularly with NSW councils and developers.
• Lead opportunity and proposal pursuits.

The ideal candidate is:

• An excellent communicator and problem-solver with a focus on meeting client expectations.
• A team player, happy to collaborate and share thoughts, challenges and learnings with your team.
• Experience on Australian transport modelling and planning projects within consultancy or government.
• Competent and proficient in the use of TRIM and Pathways software.
• Bachelors/Master’s degree in urban planning, transport planning, engineering, or similar.
• Minimum of 8 years practical and relevant experience in the traffic engineering, transport modelling and planning industry.
