In this job you will:As a
Transport Planner at DHL, you'll overcome daily logistical challenges to ensure warehouse operations run smoothly. In a fast-paced environment, where every day is different, you'll have the autonomy to make decisions and be able to continually grown professionally. Use your talents to support a committed team to greatness and drive the future of logistics, using the latest technology:
- Performing daily transport planning activities in our Transport Management System (OTM)
- Ensure On-Time Delivery (OTD) target is achieved at all times
- Follow up and resolve manual exceptions and issues
- Interact with internal/external and Transport Carriers
- Ensure external and internal stakeholder expectations are met for transport movements
- Communicate daily with replenishment, warehouses, vendors and transport carriers as required
- Monitor and follow up to ensure carriers and suppliers are adhering to Chain of Responsibility (COR)
- Manage transport planning for site
- Manage suppliers against agreed KPI's including ordered versus received and on time delivery
- Ensure compliance to statutory obligations
You have the following qualities & qualifications:
- Experience and knowledge of transport processes, compliance and planning & logistics industry
- Solid knowledge of OTM and TMS
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
- Experience in forecasting and demand planning
- Plans effectively and takes accountability for delivering on expectations
- Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Have excellent systems and computer skills
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service
