About the role
An exciting opportunity currently exists within the St Patrick's College team. We are seeking a term-time Principal's Assistant for 38hpw, commencing in Term 1, 2024 or as negotiated with the successful applicant.
The position will provide a variety of secretarial and administrative support which enables the maintenance of efficient administration systems which serve the educational function of the college.
Typical duties performed include, but are not limited to:
- Practice confidentiality in relation to all aspects of the role;
- Provide executive support to senior management and associated committees concerning designated aspects of college management;
- Under broad guidance, supervise the operations of the College's office and other administrative activities, in the areas of enrolment, equipment and statistical staffing returns;
- Under broad guidance, supervise the operations of the College's processes and activities in relation to overseas students. This may include: enrolment, family liaison, and placement;
- Provide advice requiring knowledge of policies and/or the interpretation of rules or regulations within their area of operation. Assist in developing policy and procedures relating to their work area and identifying future trends;
- Apply a knowledge of relevant industrial awards and agreements and occupational health and safety requirements. Provide general advice to staff in these areas.

The successful applicant will have relevant experience and an understanding of, and a commitment to, the ethos of Catholic Education. In addition, you will have excellent time management skills and well developed interpersonal skills.
Mandatory Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications at Associate Diploma/Diploma level or equivalent knowledge, qualifications and experience relevant to the position may be required.

- A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice is a requirement of the position
