We're seeking a creative individual with a keen eye for emerging print trends to elevate our client brand's visual identity. As a Print Designer, you'll play a pivotal role in identifying and implementing key print and graphic trends each season. Collaborating closely with the design team, you'll develop prints that align with our clients brand strategy and sustainability goals, ensuring they a leading fashion authority on the high-street.
Responsibilities:
1. Trend Identification and Development:
- Stay ahead of the curve by identifying emerging print trends.
- Present trend forecasts to buying and trade teams.
- Guide print and graphic development throughout the season.
- Develop prints in line with brand and sustainability strategies.
- Evolve print handwriting to reflect the latest trends.
- Assist in maintaining our position as a fashion leader.
- Understand customer profiles and preferences.
- Produce prints that cater to diverse customer needs.
- Utilise sales data and customer research to inform design decisions.
- Interpret trends to target customers effectively.
- Stay updated on local and international competition.
- Conduct ongoing research to anticipate future trends.
- Collaborate with the creative and buying teams to meet print needs.
- Translate trends into commercially viable designs.
- Create both repeat artwork and placement prints.
- Mentor and manage direct reports for growth and engagement.
- Provide clear direction and set goals for team members.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers to meet printing deadlines.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
- Up to 5 years proven experience in Print & Graphic design apparel industry.
- Strong knowledge of print trends and techniques.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as required.
