Printer & Signshop Operator

Premier Tint, located in Seven Hills, has established itself as a front-runner in window film applications, graphic design, and signage applications for over two decades. We are on the lookout for a dynamic Prepress and Digital Printing Operator/Graphic Designer with a background in signage to join our team.

Our workplace is dynamic, offering a variety of tasks. You will be part of a small, dedicated team, with the opportunity to work independently. A keen eye for detail, high accuracy levels, and strong literacy/numeracy skills are essential for success in this role.

Duties Include:

• Contributing to all aspects of design and production across multiple signage projects.
• Designing and editing artwork.
• Prepress tasks, including working with vinyl.
• Preparing production files for our suppliers, vinyl cutter, and printers.
• Managing the loading and unloading of substrates onto printers.
• Weeding, application, and applying cut graphics to various substrates.
• Operating printers.
• Conducting general print shop and printer maintenance.
• Ordering and managing inks and tools of trade.
• Processing and printing files through printers.
• Operating laminators for print media.
• Processing and quality checking ripped files.
• Maintaining a filing system for art production files.
• Upholding a flexible approach to internal customer service, ensuring sales and production expectations are met.

Requirements:

• Effective and efficient at following both verbal and written instructions.
• Proficiency in various software, including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, MAC Sign, and Caldera.
• Demonstrated experience operating printers, plotters, laminators, and mounting tables.
• Comfortable with heavy lifting and manual handling.
• Committed to maintaining safe work practices and adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with materials, production methods, and terminology in signage design and production.
• Experience with the safe use of general hand/power tools.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience is essential.
• Ability to work under pressure, with a high attention to detail, consistently delivering high-quality work.
