Process And Automation Specialist

As a Process and Automation Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the site's Process and Automation systems. These systems include PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and VSDs. Your responsibilities will also involve providing high-level technical support and sharing your expertise with the maintenance team. This will include system design, implementation, or training.
Key Responsibilities:

• System Management: Oversee and maintain the sites Process and Automation systems, ensuring they run smoothly.
• Technical Support: Provide expert assistance to the maintenance team when they encounter challenges related to these systems.
• Collaborate closely with other departments to identify opportunities for system improvements.
• Training: Share your knowledge by training others on these technologies
• System Design: Design electrical and automated control systems, including HMI and SCADA systems
• PLC Programming and Interfaces: Program PLCs and user interfaces.
• Project Coordination: Assist in coordinating project activities, including technical portions of procurement documents (RFQs, POs), and review equipment tenders and vendor documents.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or a current QLD electrical license with 10+ years of programming experience.
• Proven programming experience using Allen Bradley systems, including Drives, HMI, PLC, and SCADA.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in managing cross-functional teams.
• Track record of successful project completion and ownership of design projects valued above $250K.
• Practical engineering design experience related to industrial equipment, such as machine design, mechanical, fluid power, electrical, or mechatronics disciplines.
• Technical writing skills for developing construction work packages.
