The Role
Our client, a well known FMCG Manufacturer, is looking for a process Engineer to join their team. The Process Engineer is responsible for supporting site projects with technical knowledge to maintain and improve efficiencies of manufacturing capabilities
Key Responsibilities
- Support site projects to maintain and improve efficiencies of manufacturing capabilities
- Contribute to a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant workplace by consulting with the workplace on process improvements
- Lead process consistency by developing solutions to eradicate variability and standardise new procedures
- Analyse production performance and implement solutions to improve process efficiency
- Reduce waste by investigating, analysing, and implementing best practice and process efficiency across all lines
- Ensure job task analysis and risk assessments are conducted where process changes have occurred
- Liaise with customers and project teams to develop innovative solutions to ensure we have a continuous improvement focus
Experience
- Proven track record within manufacturing and process improvement
- 3 years Engineering experience in a FMCG Manufacturer as a Process Engineer
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical/Chemical) or Science
- Strong communication skills
- Problem solving skills
- High technical/process skills
- An understanding of the application of Continuous Improvement tools for effective problem solving
