Australian Garnet Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Resource Development Group Limited (ASX:RDG), supply premium garnet abrasives to the protective coating and waterjet cutting industries from our world class operation in Western Australia.
With work progressing on the construction of our owner operated Garnet mine, located in the picturesque Lucky Bay area of Kalbarri Western Australia, we are looking to engage a local Process Operator for our mining, processing and dispatch operations.
The role is 8 days on 6 days off, 7 nights on 7 nights off. Being a little different to your run of the mill roles, we are looking to create high function, multi skilled team who can work from one end of the operation to the other. This role is offered to local candidates in Geraldton or Kalbarri, or FIFO for up to 3 months with candidates looking to relocate to Kalbarri.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform all work on the process plant in accordance with company safety policies, practices and procedures.
- Use company safety systems, including the relevant tools and documentation, such as Take 5s, job hazard analyses (JHAs) to meet safety standards.
- Attend all pre-start and toolbox meetings, and any other relevant meetings as required.
- Report incidents/accidents and areas of concern/workplace hazards in accordance with reporting procedures.
- Maintain all required logbooks and inspection reports as per company procedure.
- Carry out fault finding and rectify by repairing.
- Comply at all times with legislative, organizational, industry and ethical responsibilities.
- Maintain respectful, effective, cohesive and reciprocal working relationships with all stakeholders both internal and external to RDG to ensure responsibilities, targets and results are successfully achieved.
To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate:
- Experience working on a plant processing mineral sands; ideally over 5 years
- Adhere to and promote safe work practices in all operations
- Live in or looking to relocate to Kalbarri or Geraldton
- Hold a current white card
- Strong trouble shooting skills
- Current Valid Western Australian Driver’s License (Manual Minimum)
