As we eagerly anticipate the inauguration of our expansive Salty Snacks manufacturing facility, set to be the largest in the southern hemisphere with a capacity to produce 50 million kilograms of delectable snacks each year, Snack Brands Australia (SBA) is actively searching for dedicated and motivated individuals to become integral members of our Production team as Processing Operators in our Smithfield plant.
About the role:
Employed on a full-time permanent basis from 2 pm to 10 pm on the factory floor and reporting to the Production Supervisors, your duties will encompass:
- Operating and overseeing processing machines, specializing in cooking techniques such as frying, mixing and flavor
- Measuring and mixing correct flavoring per production run specification
- Executing precise extrusion processes to create high-quality food products
- Monitoring and adjusting machine settings to ensure optimal production efficiency and product consistency
- Collaborating with the production team to coordinate workflow and maintain seamless operations
- Troubleshooting and address issues that may arise on the line during production
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the processing area to meet food safety standards
- Completing quality checks as required
- Proven experience as a Processing Operator within the FMCG industry
- Proven experience in undertaking and overseeing fryer, extrusion and mixing operations
- Valid forklift license (Requirement of role)
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to food safety and quality
- Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Familiarity with operating and adjusting various FMCG processing machines
