About the role

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Analyst to join the Elders team on a permanent full-time basis.

As a Procurement Analyst you will provide financial insights, operational & analytical support to the National Retail and State Rural Products management teams.  The insights you provide will be used to manage risks and optimise key financial outcomes for Elders and its shareholders. 

This exciting opportunity supports a wide breadth of activities from forecasting through to procurement, inventory management, sales and process improvement.  This role requires a flair for understanding complex systems and data sources and is a great mix of commercial and technical skillsets.

Responsibilities:

As a Procurement Analyst you will:

  • Acquire and cleanse data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
  • Build and maintain tools & reporting to facilitate sales forecasting/purchase planning & participate in key stakeholder discussions
  • Produce reporting and analysis of key Retail data including Purchases, Sales, Inventory, Internal Transfers and Open Purchase Orders
  • Build & distribute monthly reporting packs to key supplier partners
  • Build Excel models to track sales campaigns and report results to National and state management teams
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to migrate critical reports to the central data repository
  • Perform supplier contract and spend analysis to identify action required to maximise rebate incentives
  • Conduct supplier, product & client profitability analysis and reporting
  • Assist with data cleansing/mapping for onboarding new acquisitions
  • Perform freight/logistics and supply chain analysis
  • Identify opportunities to improve and rationalise reporting and processes

About You:

To succeed at Elders, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce/Accounting or similar
  • Very high attention to detail with demonstrated ability to critically analyse complex data & produce practical and usable information for strategic decision making
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple customers/stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office Suite with very high proficiency in Excel
  • Experience with VBA, SQL statements, ETLs, reporting tools
  • Experience with MS Access, Power BI and Snowflake data cloud (desirable)
