About the Position
The Procurement Services team is focused on ensuring optimal procurement outcomes and partnering with various stakeholders to enable sound decisions, providing support and guidance where required.
Reporting to the Team Leader Procurement, this role will provide day to day support to leaders and employees in relation to procurement, purchasing, tendering and contract management.
About You
You will have demonstrated skills and experience which enables you to support and enhance procurement processes for a range of Council projects and activities. You will have a background in procurement, contract management, business analysis or other relevant discipline. You will possess exceptional stakeholder management and engagement abilities, as well as high level written and verbal communication skills.
Key Selection Criteria:
- High level skills and experience administering corporate technology including procurement systems and databases
- Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in all aspects of procurement and contract management
- Demonstrated analytical and improvement skills, including abilities to identify root cause issues and apply problem solving techniques
- Experience in tendering and contract administration, with a sound understanding of evaluation and probity requirements
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders and build and maintain strong and positive working relationships
