Looking for a Procurement and Contract Manager to handle a range of Procurement and Contract management activities for a known Government department.
- Contract role till August 2024 with possible extension.
- Attractive hourly pay rate up to $81.27/hour + Super.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Manage a range of tasks associated with Procurement and Contract management for services, goods, equipment, and projects including management of procurement timeframes and risks.
- Work closely with the Procurement and Finance teams to produce all procurement documentation and manage procurement activities (primarily RFQ and RFT processes) and Contract management activities.
- Develop contracts and agreements, manage the contract execution process, contract reporting requirements, and risk management, and provide briefings to the executive on the process.
- Manage operational procurement plans and procurement documentation to coordinate timely and compliant delivery of purchasing activities.
- Conduct assurance reviews and reporting for Procurement and Contract management activities.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the organisation in meetings and negotiations with external stakeholders in line with the strategic direction of the organisation.
- Manage and report against the Strategic Asset Maintenance Plan and Asset Register to ensure asset management data is up to date and easily accessible.
- Contribute to the annual review of Facilities-related policies to ensure they are current and fit for purpose and contribute to the maintenance and development of operational procedures and practices.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant qualifications or well-developed knowledge and understanding of Procurement and Contract management would be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated high-level understanding of Procurement and Contract management guidelines, procedures, and frameworks, with an understanding of ACT Government procurement legislation and requirements.
- Demonstrated high-level experience in conducting Procurement and Contract management activities, including the creation of procurement plans and requests for tender/quotation documentation.
- Prior experience in government Procurement and strong capabilities for effectively delivering concurrently coordinated procurement outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment requiring a highly responsive and team-focused capability.
- Extensive customer service experience with a strong focus on customer-centric practices.
- High-level oral and written communication skills including well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to liaise and negotiate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
