About Legal Aid QueenslandLegal Aid Queensland's (LAQ) vision is to be a leader in a fair justice system where people are able to understand and protect their legal rights. Our purpose is to provide quality, cost effective legal services to financially disadvantaged people throughout Queensland.
In this busy role, the Procurement and Facilities Officer you will be coordinating and managing suppliers, projects and property on behalf of the organisation.
What you will do
Coordinate maintenance, equipment and asset projects
Manage and negotiate procurement contracts
Coordinate building maintenance services for the Brisbane and regional offices
Liaise with property managers and landlords of leased premises to facilitate ongoing maintenance services
Coordinate fire safety and security procedures for all offices including supervision of the Brisbane office's Security Officer
What are we looking for is a proactive, organised and efficient team member who:
Has experience managing competing priorities, trades and deadlines
Brings experience in preparing and managing contracts and monitoring supplier performance
Has experience in project and maintenance work and coordination of trades and suppliers
Has experience using a variety of technology platforms - ie MS Office, FinanceOne etc
Is an independent and proactive team player who will support internal and external stakeholders to achieve great outcomes
