Job DescriptionWe are currently looking for a highly motivated and driven professional to join our Technical Department as a Quality Assurance Systems Officer supporting the continuous improvement of our MQF Food Safety & Quality Programs.
Reporting to the National Food Safety Systems Officer, you will play a vital role in creating clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation supporting the companies Food Safety & Quality Management Program. You will work closely with the varied departmental stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality system documentation.
Your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Author technical documents, such as procedures, programs, guides, and standard documentation, that effectively communicate the Food Safety & Quality concepts to diverse audiences.
- Internal Audits to review actual practices against current documentation and provide constructive improvements leveraging the current resources to meet requirements.
- Verifications, collaborating with, product managers and subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Develop best practices for technical documentation, ensuring consistency, clarity, and adherence to industry standards.
- Assist in the implementation of updates to the current Food Safety & Quality Management Program.
- Monitor trends and support corrective actions to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Raw material Risk assessments and monitoring programs.
- Maintain site related records pertaining to food safety compliance.
- Support communications and training of appropriate personnel in Food Safety & Quality procedures, programs, guides, and standard documentation.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- HACCP principles and Application Certification is essential to this role.
- Internal auditor certification
- Ability to understand and interpret Food Safety & Quality Management Systems and process alignment.
- Detail-oriented and committed to following through on commitments made, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of documentation.
- A keen interest in Food Safety & Compliance – you are adaptive and quick to learn, embrace new situations and technologies to continuously improve and grow in this role.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced skills in Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and communicate technical information to various stakeholders.
- Motivated and self-driven, with a focus on meeting deadlines and proactively solving issues as they arise.
