We have partnered with one of our key clients to find an immediately available Category Manager to support the Director of Procurement in delivering value back to the business as soon as possible.
This business is going through a journey to change their culture and drive good procurement practice across the board. You will have the autonomy to support the education of stakeholders on what good practice is and to help deliver savings on some significant projects.
ROLE
This role has specifically been created to support the ongoing delivery of value to the business. You will be given autonomy to develop sourcing strategies focussed on supplier rationalisation & best value, develop policy & process related to procurement/purchasing in the business and deliver savings to the bottom line.
This role will focus on delivering key sourcing events on a broad range of categories. First and Foremost this is a delivery first role!
Specifically, you will:
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to deliver best value to the business
- Build strong supplier relationships, ensuring quality supply is maintained and risk free
- Build strong internal relationships with all business units to ensure that they are bought in with the change and support this ongoing
- 5+ years experience in a procurement role
- Strong negotiation skills
- General category expertise including but not limited to CAPEX, Print services, Document storage, IT Network infrastructure and General indirects
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
