Job Description
As a member within our Procurement and Contract Services team, your role will primarily focus on 'hands-on' strategy development and delivery with clients. We are looking for multiple people to work with clients within our infrastructure segments which covers our Aviation and Power/Utilities projects. In this role, you will be involved in:
- Developing robust contemporary procurement strategies for our clients' major projects and programs, helping to assure successful project outcomes and reduce delivery risks.
- Transaction management on major capital projects, effectively setting up projects and programs for success by leading the procurement process. Such processes typically start with facilitating the finalisation of requirements, followed by market sounding and tendering, and through to the negotiation of commercial contracts, often in line with client gate/approval processes and probity requirements.
- Providing clients with expert contract management skills to support their projects, from initial contract set up through to managing variations and claims.
- Proactively building networks with other members of the Turner & Townsend team, and with our key clients in the region, becoming a trusted advisor on matters relating to procurement and contract management for capital projects.
- Working with clients on projects that are failing to perform as planned, to identify commercial and project controls solutions that will lead to effective project or program recovery.
- Contributing to Turner & Townsend's vision and mission by developing proposals to address client challenges, creating innovative new service offerings, and prudent management of financial performance within your area of the business.
- Provide a leading role in a client procurement team responsible for advising and supporting the procurement of multi-million-dollar packages on large construction projects in sectors including energy, mining, or commercial property construction
- Offer clients strong contract knowledge from initial set up to managing variations and claims.
- Support clients with contract formation, contract administration, contract negotiations and claims support.
- Work collaboratively with the client and other consultants at all project stages.
- Manage tender processes from conception through to contract award
- Make the difference with current and new clients by identifying new ways we can help deliver improved procurement and project outcomes
- Critically analyse how clients are delivering projects and procurement activities to identify opportunities for improvement
- Contribute to the business success of the Organisation by assisting in the areas of submissions, fee bidding, and financial management and reporting, budgeting, and business planning.
