Looking for a new role as a procurement expertwhere you'll be the go-to source for strategic advice on our various procurement processes?

You’llbe the key leader behind high-value, high-risk contracts, ensuring everything from vendor relationships to commercial agreements runs seamlessly.

You will successfully navigate the complex world of procurement with ease, crafting strategies that not only save costs but also drive value for the organization. From negotiating deals to keeping a keen eye on vendor performance, you'll be at the forefront of every critical decision.

You’ll also be a trusted advisor, collaborating closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and tailor solutions that exceed expectations. About the role:

  • Manage our procurement team to deliver a high level of financial and regulatory compliance outcomes across the group in adherence to budget and expense control.
  • Develop and implement key operational expense dashboard reporting to identifyareas of targeted reduction of expenses.
  • Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term savings.
  • Provide advice on probity, conflict of interest, confidentiality, and other ethical issues that may arise during procurement processes. Compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and legal requirements is crucial to maintain the integrity of procurement activities.
  • Identify, manage, and monitor risks associated with procurement activities. This involves assessing potential risks, implementing mitigation strategies, and ensuring compliance with risk management frameworks.
  • Lead and mentor procurement staff in line with organisational policies and procedures. Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment to enhance productivity and effectiveness in procurement operations.
  • Continuously monitor and review procurement processes to identify opportunities for improvement. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and value for the organization.
  • Engage in thorough consultation with stakeholders to understand business needs and determine appropriate contracting frameworks.

About you:

  • Extensiveprocurement experience preparing, advising on and managing contracts.
  • Previous experience working within complex environments and exposure to strategic management.
  • Demonstrated high level of skill in communicating with professionals, end-users and management.
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills.
  • Highly developed negotiation and communications skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management and staff.
  • Communicate complex information effectively to influence, develop, and motivate stakeholders. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for conveying procurement strategies, negotiating contracts, and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
