We are seeking experienced Procurement Officers for several contract opportunities in a state government department, based in the Brisbane CBD.
This department can't wait to spend money, and they need your skills in managing that process. You may have only recently started your journey in procurement, or be a tad more seasoned and have heaps of experience. Either way, we would love to hear from you.
So, we need quite a few procurement specialists with skills and experience in ICT end to end procurement predominantly. Knowledge of QITC and Qld Government procurement practices would be very advantageous.
- AO5 (Procurement Officer) equivalent – To undertake end-to-end procurement and contract administration functions for low to medium value/risk activities. You should have the ability to analyse, interpret and administer GITC/QITC contracts , including financial management, drafting variations, liaison with contract managers, and manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of SAP would be beneficial.
- AO6 (Senior Procurement Officer)equivalent – In addition to the AO5 responsibilities, this level will undertake medium to high risk/value activities, which will include planning, sourcing, market approaches, evaluation, probity, contract negotiation and management. Queensland Government Level 3 Procurement Certification or equivalent and experience in SAP will be favourably considered.
- AO7 (Principal Procurement Officer)equivalent – In addition to the AO6 responsibilities, this level will require extensive procurement lifecycle experience and will undertake significant and strategic procurements, represent the organisation on major projects providing specialist procurement/contract and commercial recommendations relating to procurement matters.
Experience:
- Previous experience in Local or State Government
- C Class Driver's license
- SAP knowledge
- End to end Procurement
We fully expect that these contracts will extend, and whilst we know procurement people are as rare as hens teeth, we are seeking a range of people and experience levels.. Money - they aren't going to pay the standard public sector rates and will meet your expectations (as long as you know your stuff).
