We are seeking a Procurement and Contract Support Officer to provide effective administration support to the team in relation to information management and procurement and contract related activities which support Queensland Health initiatives and objectives in accordance with Queensland Procurement Policy.
The role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our experienced Technical team. The successful candidate will ensure the development and maintenance of enterprise systems by providing customer focused and high-level specialist advice and support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain defined enterprise service levels by providing high level Information Communications and Technology (ICT) technical expertise, quality technical support and adhering to departmental standards, policies, procedures and Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) processes.
- Assist management in the decision making process and assessment of the impact of change by preparing technical reports, specifications, trends analyses, etc.
- Assist in continuous improvement of system procedures and practices by liaising and consulting with all stakeholders to determine how well the system is meeting their requirements.
- Participate in the identification and delivery of additional training requirements for QRIS through communication and consultation with relevant stakeholders.
- Design, develop and deliver user training programs (including course materials) for the QRIS application through identification of user educational requirements.

- Support productive working relationships - Experience in building and sustaining positive working relationships with team members, customers and other external stakeholders including participating in teamwork and contributing to team discussions.
- Displays personal drive and integrity - Demonstrated ability to provide accurate advice on less complex administrative, procurement and contract related activities including the ability to remain positive and respond to pressure in a calm manner.
- Communicates with influence - Demonstrated ability to communicate messages clearly and concisely and to prepare documentation that is easy to follow and grammatically correct.
Specific Working Conditions:
- While not mandatory, Queensland Government Procurement Certification Program Levels 1 or 2 will be well regarded.
