HR Partners by Randstad has an opportunity for a Learning and Development Support Office to join our client site in Townsville. This role is a temporary role with an immediate start Monday-Friday paying $46.41 per hour.
About the role:
The Learning and Development Support Officer is required to administer and provide administrative support to all Learning and Development functions. The Learning and Development Support Officer is also responsible for coordinating the provision of externally facilitated learning programs and vocational training including liaising with stakeholders, scheduling, financials, recording and reporting as it relates to all employee training, including entry level programs.
- Provide efficient and effective administration of Learning and Development programs and initiatives to ensure operational plan objectives are met including engagement of suppliers, scheduling of employees, maintaining accurate training records, and reporting of training data.
- Perform all necessary administrative functions to support Learning and Development solutions including but not limited to the scheduling and recording of participants, maintenance of training program and personnel files, maintaining learning venues ensuring they are presentable and appropriate to the learning program being delivered, updating training records on the HRIS and LMS employee files, preparation and dissemination of learning resources, catering requirements etc.
- Administer Training Contracts with relevant State Government Department, including lodgement, ongoing monitoring of individual contract performance and training provider service. Submit and report on State and Federal funding grants for entry level programs. Maintain documentation relating to employment and training programs as per local government requirements.
- Assist in the activities associated with the Marketing and promotion of entry level programs and other Learning and Development opportunities to internal and external clients, through trade, career days and all other mediums.
- Experience with PlatCore and ServiceNow is desirable. If not, must be proficient with learning new systems.
- Booking training and uploading certificates.
About the individual:
- Demonstrated ability to provide a high standard of customer service to all stakeholders both internal and external.
- Knowledge of employment programs at State and National level pertaining to apprenticeship and traineeship employment with an understanding of organisational design and workforce planning principles.
- Knowledge of development plans, individual training plans, training requirements and training contracts that satisfy government legislation.
- High level of written and oral communication skills with proficiency in preparation of contract documents, business correspondence and the ability to assist in information sessions at career expos including schools and other institutions.
- Knowledge of vocational and tertiary qualifications that pertain to career pathways for apprentices, trainees, cadets and graduates, with the ability to administer and report on qualifications pertaining to entry level programs.
- Ability to provide financial information, including auditing, forecasting and budgeting in relation to State and Federal employment programs and vocational qualifications.
- Well-developed time management, prioritising, planning, organising and decision making skills, and the ability to work autonomously, or as part of a team managing multiple tasks and competing priorities with high level skills in Microsoft Applications including, Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and work with various Systems including clients Learning Management System and Business Management Systems such as CES for financial related tasks and ECM as part of the record management system.
- Demonstrated experience role modelling a positive safety culture and adherence to the Health Safety Management Systems through visible leadership and exercising due diligence and management of compliance and legislative obligations.
- A police check is mandatory for this role and will be required prior to starting in the position
- A pre-employment drug and alcohol test is required prior to starting in the position
