This role will be part of a large scale of state wide capital investment project , will be responsible for the specification, contracting and purchasing of high risk, high value goods and services.Key responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with project directors, consultants, project officers and key stakeholders to facilitate the coordination of construction and design components.
- Liaise and negotiate with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders about specific requirements for the project and ensure these requirements meet the business needs and organisational objectives.
- Lead the design, development and implementation of the procurement strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders that deliver long-term value and benefits to the organisation.
- Develop and deliver procurement strategies that minimise risk and maximise value, in compliance with procurement legislation, policy and industry regulations.
- Develop and maintain outstanding relationships with key supplier and customer stakeholders to drive better value outcomes and maximise benefits.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships and networks, through liaison with a range of stakeholders including other teams, peers, and colleagues across the organisation, and in other organisations.
- Demonstrated experience building and sustaining relationships with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in leading high value, high risk and complex negotiations.
- Demonstrated experience in leading complex strategic capital procurement projects, supporting internal customers in the development of complex specifications, and ensuring materials / services are delivered according to contract.
- While not mandatory, a relevant qualification in supply chain, procurement, or a related field, would be well regarded.
- Experience in procurement relevant to a health care setting will be well regarded.
- Ability to work across South East Queensland sites.
