Brink Drinks is looking for more Brinkers to join our growing team. We need a hands-on Procurement Manager to make a difference to our Supply Chain Team.
Brink Drinks is an innovative beverage designer, manufacturer and distribution business that has grown rapidly over the past 5 years. We have offices in Ballarat and Melbourne with manufacturing at a second site in Ballarat. Our distribution centre carries a large inventory of finished goods for our specialty clients as well as managing the raw materials for our production facility. We pride ourselves on being a fun workplace.
We seek a Brinker with exceptional planning & execution skills to provide support to Supply Chain Manager. This position will provide the ability to liaise between both the supply chain, innovation, production teams and our customers as the need arises.
Some working from home is possible after settling in.
About your new role:
Reporting directly to our Supply Chain Manager, the role is responsible for assisting with the production schedule and the planning and procurement of all ingredients and packaging materials for production.
This position requires an individual who is a “go-getter”, with strong computer skills, who is extremely organised, and has a high attention to detail. Ideally someone with an ability to cope with a fast-paced dynamic workplace and continuously shifting priorities.
- Actively manage the material planning process, from forecasting to order placement and delivery, to ensure that materials are available when and where they are needed. Planning and placing purchase orders for raw materials, packaging, and consumables
- Manage purchasing activities and minimum order quantity inputs for ingredients.
- Work with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials and resolve any delivery issues
- Develop and implement safety stock policies to ensure that inventory levels are maintained at optimal levels, considering lead times, demand variability, and supplier performance
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date master data related to materials, suppliers, and production processes in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system
- Tracking production performance and adjust supply plan for fresh ingredients
- Develop and implement a plan for managing inventory of end-of-life (EOL) products, including identifying potential write-offs or alternative uses for existing inventory
- Identify and manage obsolete and slow-moving inventory, working with the production and sales teams to minimize waste and maximize value
- Monitor supplier performance and proactively identify and address any issues related to quality, lead times, or pricing and work together with the Procurement Manager to mitigate future risk/issues.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving supply chain efficiency, reducing costs, and increasing customer satisfaction
About you:

• Navigate computer software, including our ERP (DEAR/ Carton cloud systems) accurately and efficiently.

• commit to ensuring safe working practices are followed and OHS standards are promoted and maintained
• Prior experience in food and beverage, wholesale food distribution or temperature-controlled industries will be highly regarded
