Job description

You will be a senior procurement professional experienced in facilitating a wide range of end-to-end procurement contracts for corporate and information technology functions, including, (but not limited to) general consultancy, resource contractors (labour hire), IT and facilities through the development of category plans. Initially, the role will focus on the execution and ongoing administration of contracts for resource contractors, services and to a lesser extent goods. In most cases, the head contracts for these services have already been established. You may also be involved in contract market approaches for new products and services. You will be partnering with multiple departmental heads and managers and be able to work with high levels of autonomy as you manage competing priorities. Experience supporting procurement for corporate functions, including technology departments in larger corporate entities would be highly valued.
 
Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Executing and completing procurement activities, including liaising with the in-house legal team to manage the development of contracts or contract variations in a timely manner.
  • Supporting supplier negotiation processes and finalising supplier agreements and purchase orders in accordance with the set procedures and delegations of authority
  • Ensuring adherence to contractual obligations through effective contract management
  • Managing contract life cycles, renewals etc.
  • Producing management reports and supporting and maintaining contract management plans where required
You will demonstrate:
  • Relevant experience in operational procurement, and managing end-to-end procurement activity in a project driven environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with an ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer requirements
  • Proactive stakeholder management skills, and highly outcomes-focused
  • Sound commercial acumen, with some exposure to contract management and negotiation
  • Proficient user of MS Office and procurement management systems (ideally SAP P2P), with impeccable attention to detail
  • Whilst not essential, a degree qualification in procurement, commercial or legal disciplines, would be well regarded. Membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS) (desirable)
