The Opportunity

This is a unique 12-month contract opportunity at HBF for a Procurement Specialist. As a vital member of our team, you will lead the sourcing, evaluation, and negotiation of contracts for goods and services. Your role involves partnering closely with Contract Owners and Managers to ensure maximum value from suppliers while maintaining adherence to procurement policies. Position Accountabilities:

• Advise Contract Owners and Managers on procurement processes and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Lead the evaluation and selection of suppliers, managing the analysis of responses and vendor risk assessments.
• Support contract negotiation, guiding contract managers in key inclusions and collaborating with HBF Legal for sound commercial contracts.
• Proactively manage contract renewals and variations in accordance with procurement processes.

Essential Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Experience in procurement and supply chain management.
• Proven track record of implementing cost-saving initiatives and managing supplier relationships.
• Negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools.

Desirable Skills:

• Understanding of the not-for-profit sector and health insurance industry.
• Knowledge of ERP solutions, Procurement to Pay (P2P) process, and Contracts Management Systems (CMS).
