Procurement Specialist

As we continue to invest in our capabilities, we have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to join the team on a permanent basis.You will be joining our evolving Procurement Team through an exciting period of change, innovation and transformation and will support and work closely with the Head of Procurement and assist in partnering and influencing the broader SCC business, in particular Care Operations and carrying out end – to end category strategies and market engagements, starting from spend analysis through to negotiation, contract execution and supplier relationship management where needed across all categories.Key Responsibilities include:Contribute to the development and implementation of end-to-end procurement strategies designed to improve value and minimise costsEffectively partner with both internal and external stakeholders and contribute positively to teamwork to achieve operational outcomes and promote a positive SCC workplace culture. Partner and collaborate with all relevant stakeholders, both internal and external to ensure effective and efficient outcomesComply with and contribute to Work Health and Safety policies and proceduresEffectively partnering with both internal and external stakeholders and taking accountability for assigned procurement activities and projectsIdentifying and implementing effective strategies to maintain continuity of goods and services for assigned projects, categories, and suppliers Implement, and execute procurement processes and strategies to optimise and continually improve the performance of the Procurement function and SCC businessLead or support as assigned end to end market engagements including opportunity identification, baselining, RFx’s, negotiations, through to approvals and contract executionProvide operational, analytical, and commercial support for the SCC business across any procurement related activities, supplier relationships, escalations, or any other procurement enquiriesCompliance/process improvement and any other projects as assigned Selection Criteria:Australian Citizenship or Permanent residency essential5 + years working in a procurement or commercial position or similar Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at various levels Be able to provide actionable insights through research, collating and market intelligenceStrong understanding of tenders, contracts and the overall tender and contract processEnergetic and self-motivated individual who enjoys not only working in a team, but also having autonomy to complete your role.Customer-focus with proven ability to influence, communicate and negotiate at strategic and tactical levelsAdvanced interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skillsHigh level of organisational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results within pressing timeframesDemonstrated ability to apply strategic level thinking, problem solving and decision-making to the resolution of complex problemsKnowledge of legislative and reporting requirements relating to the Modern Slavery Act Desirables:Demonstrated competencies in and an understanding of the Health, Aged Care or Not-for-Profit SectorsExperience in implementation of Contract Management System, Spend Analytics or similar What’s in it for you?You will be joining a highly functional & experienced teamOpportunity to make a significant contribution to the business.Generous remuneration package and great inc NFP salary sacrificing benefits + meal & entertainment allowanceAnnual leave LoadingDiscounted private health insuranceWellbeing initiatives such as Reward and Recognition Program, Employee Assistance Program - our employees matter!
