About AMSL Aero
AMSL Aero Pty Ltd is an Australian aviation company, incorporated in 2017. We are developing Vertiia, the world’s most efficient and long range hydrogen-electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft. Vertiia will be used initially in aeromedical, regional passenger and cargo operations, providing emissions-free, safe, low cost and fast transport up to 1000 km. We are based airside at Bankstown Airport, and our flight test facilities are located in regional New South Wales, with facilities also in Victoria, Queensland and the ACT.
About the role
We are currently searching for a highly experienced Procurement & Supply Chain Manager to join our team. This is a new role and will have key responsibility for managing all aspects of the procurement and Supply Chain function across the business, by ensuring a seamless integration from procurement to delivery of all products and services supplied to AMSL Aero. This will include:
- Support the engineering team with overseeing the procurement and Supply Chain management for the end-to-end lifecycle of products and services, from raw material sourcing to final delivery, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with quality standards.
- Assisting with establishing systems and monitoring deliverables and metrics to evaluate Supply Chain performance, identify areas of improvement and drive operational excellence
- Establishing strong and productive Supply Chain relationships, and managing contract documentation, risk and quality management.
- All aspects of supplier engagement, including initial solicitation, to writing agreements, negotiating and then contract management.
About you
This role will suit an individual who is highly proactive, a strong leader and team player, who is able to adapt well to changing circumstances, and who has commitment to sustainable aviation. You will possess deep experience in Procurement and Supply Chain management in a corporate and preferably a highly technical or engineering setting.
- A bachelor's degree qualification or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of recent procurement/Supply Chain experience, preferably in an engineering, technical and/or manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management experience
- Business, contractual, and financial literacy, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience building strong and productive supplier relationships.
- Capability to drive high-quality work within expected timeframes and on budget, including. monitoring progress, managing risk
- Experience in managing and conducting supplier/contractor negotiations to maximize price and value.
- Strong communication, negotiation, legal knowledge, contract drafting and presentation skills.
- Experience in all aspects of supplier engagement, including initial solicitation, to writing agreements, negotiating and then contract management.

The role will be based in Bankstown airport, although flexible working arrangements are considered for the right candidate.
