- This Supply Chain Team Leader will manage 4 Operations Specialists, one of whom oversees the day to day relationship with the 3PL providers in relation to stock levels at the warehouse, as well as distribution with transport providers. This person is based in Sydney & there are three direct reports based overseas.
- The position requires a ‘Supply Chain optimisation’ mindset where all processes need to be as streamlined and efficient as possible to maximise customer responsiveness. As a result, you will be reviewing and evaluating data to develop Excel spreadsheets highlighting trends and anomalies.
- The role is also accountable for overseeing the 3PL relationships and being the key point of contact for external stakeholders in this area. This will extend to meeting KPI’s associated with SLA’s and also contract governance and compliance.
- The business processes and ships approximately 4500 orders a month – so we need someone with supervisory operations experience in a medium to large company, (minimum 4 years), overseeing a 3PL relationship.
- You will have some leadership experience and see yourself as a strong leader of people moving up in your career into the future as there is clear career progression here, with the ability to articulate why you are a good manager and how you have supported a team before.
- An understanding of Warehouse Operations, Freight & Distribution and Planning principles is required. The successful person will ideally have exposure to customer service teams who are familiar with the typical issues faced with receiving and despatching orders in a 3PL model.
- Key to effective performance will be someone who can demonstrate solid exposure to large ERP systems (SAP knowledge would be an advantage but isn’t mandatory). Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel is needed and preferred is knowledge of Power BI.
