Job Description
You will work closely with the Coordinator Procurement & Contracts to maintain Council's procurement tool (VendorPanel), ensuring workflows are accurate and in line with procurement processes including procurement planning, go-to-market, evaluations, contract management and associated registers.
You will also:
- Update and maintain how-to guides for users of the procurement tool.
- Provide support to staff on the procurement policy and related procedures, and Procurement Systems.
- Provide high level administrative support including data entry (VendorPanel) and procurement user support across all levels of the organisation.
- Oversee vendor risk levels within the Rapid Global System to accompany the procurement process.
- Be responsible for DocuSigning contracts, deeds of extension and contract novations for execution.
- Maintain Council's quotation exemption register.
- Provide basic procurement advice to staff on lower value, lower risk procurement activities.
- Drive business improvements through review and redesign of procurement processes to enable efficient and effective work practices.

Desired Skills and Experience
- Understanding of the Local Government Act and Procurement Policy is highly desirable.
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service to all stakeholders and a willingness to work collaboratively across a wide range of projects.
- Ability to provide solutions relating to various day-to-day operations with a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Ability to be flexible and proactive in the delivery of service, while multitasking and managing conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- History of process improvement and initiative.
- Strong administrative skills and attention to detail providing accurate data entry, record keeping and electronic filing of all procurement and contract related documentation.
- Demonstrate initiative working within given guidelines, policies, procedures, and legislation.
