As the Procurement/Purchasing Officeryou will play an important role in coordinating the contracts and procurement process, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and achieving value for money in all transactions.
This will likely be a 3-4 month project role to support our client through a busy period therefore you must be able to 'hit the ground running' and contribute from day one with minimal supervision. Duties will include:
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from identifying needs to contract award and management.
- Coordinate procurement strategies that optimise value for money, quality, and efficiency.
- Prepare and evaluate tender documents, requests for proposals, and invitations to tender.
- Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify potential vendors and ensure a competitive bidding process.
- Assist in the negotiation of contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve favourable outcomes for the organisation.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and contracts, ensuring compliance with legislative and organisational requirements.
- Support the team with general administration and customer service.
