Hours & Salary
We are offering a competitive salary and this is negotiable depending upon your experience.
- This is a full-time position, based in Lara, Victoria
- Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic creative individual with either product design or apparel design experience. Reporting to the Design Team Manager, you will work on-site as part of a close-knit team in a fast-paced, collaborative, design and prototyping environment.
The successful candidate will have the following essential skills and traits:
- A passion for design experimentation, thinking outside the box and problem solving.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all your work.
- Ability to see your projects through from start to finish. From brief to production hand-over.
- Creative ability to ideate and develop solutions that strive to meet the user needs. Most of our products are bespoke, and you will have the opportunity to design some awesome new products!
- Ability to effectively communicate the details of your designs, including manufacturing details, visually for design reviews.
- Ability to produce clear instructional drawings for the prototyping process. Comfortable creating both hand-drawn sketches and CAD drawings.
- Positive team-oriented attitude with effective communication and an openness to listen.
- Willingness to learn new ways of doing things.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure and to deadlines.
- Good computer literacy. Prior experience in a Patternmaking, 2D or 3D program
- An understanding of pattern making and construction methods.
- Skills or a willingness to learn Excel, Word, OneNote, Zoho Project/CRM and Adobe Illustrator.
- Friendly demeanour.
Desirable skills, but not essential to apply for the position:
- Competently use StyleCad, Excel, Word, OneNote, Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Experience creating Technical Specification drawings
- An interest and drive to undertake R&D
- Interest in medical products, emergency services.
- Understanding of design for manufacturability principles
- Understanding of human centred design principles.
Responsibilities will also include:
- assisting with Production related issues when required
- working collaboratively with cross functional Teams including Sales, Production, Finishing and Warehouse to provide best Customer Solutions
- keeping Enterprise Resource Planning systems up to date
- working within QMS parameters
This role is for an experienced designer that can demonstrate their ability. Candidates will be short listed and may be asked to come in for an interview and to show their folio.
