We are currently looking for a skilled Product Design Engineer to bring fresh ideas and passion to our dynamic team.
We are seeking a talented Product Design Engineer to spearhead our new product development initiatives from conceptualisation to market launch. This pivotal role includes defining product requirements, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, managing the full project lifecycle, and fostering a collaborative environment among our teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new products while enhancing existing models to meet and exceed industry and legislative standards.
- Conduct rigorous product testing and validation, ensuring all products meet Australian Standards.
- Lead project meetings, track progress against milestones, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to align engineering and technical strategies with company goals.

Ideal Candidate:
- At least 4 to 6 years of experience in a mechanical engineering role, with expertise in testing and design using SolidWorks & PDM.
- Experience in an engineering environment with exposure to product R&D, from initial sketches to full-scale production, alongside a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control protocols.
- Coordinate and assist in the design, testing, and manufacturing of new or enhanced products.
- Lead a team to meet all project objectives within specified constraints (Project management).
- Create detailed 3D models, drawings, and other technical documents to support quality, purchasing, or sales.
- Demonstrated track record of direct and indirect management of resources and teams both internal and external to the business.
- Interpret specifications for new products or improvements to existing products.
- Digital mindset and an aptitude to learn new applications.
- Desirable - Knowledge of AS 3662, AS 3718 , AS 3497 and ISO 9001.
- Desirable - Knowledge of Australian Standards AS3718 procedures.
