Your Mission
As a Product Designer at Propeller, you'll design experiences within the Visualiser, our key customer interface. Your role involves crafting the tools that maximise our construction and civil customers' use of survey-grade maps. We like to think about it as a design tool where the canvas is real-world data - that's the product you'll be evolving!
You will be building and testing prototypes with customers and product teams regularly. You'll engage in two-way communication with users and take their feedback to affect how thousands of users interact with our product. You're a team player at heart, and you enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you can impact everyday decisions.
As a Product Designer at Propeller, you will be embedded in a squad within the Visualiser team, directly working alongside your engineering team members and the product manager while collaborating with marketing, customer success, and more. You will also be a vital member of an incredible Design team. Yes, we're biased, but we believe it. In this team, you will collaborate and critique each other's work to ensure we always deliver delightful and interconnected experiences for our customers whilst also taking shared ownership to push our capability forward for the benefit of making Propeller's vision come to life.
Your Skills
- SaaS Experience: You have working experience in a product design role, preferably in a SaaS environment, and even better if it's a collaboration/creation tool.
- Collaboration: You should be comfortable communicating directly with customers and external stakeholders.
- Interface & Experience Creation: Knowing the ins and outs of crafting delightful, intuitive interfaces is key. Whether it's web-based or native apps, having that experience is a big plus. And hey, if you're well-versed in using Figma for design, even better!
- Design System: Experience working with a Design System and the ability to contribute towards its improvement is helpful.
- Research Skills: You should know when and how to conduct effective research to inform your design decisions.
- Data Visualisation: Experience working on a product with data visualisation is a nice-to-have skill.
